The Cooperative approves the investment of €5M in 2016

The Jesús del Perdón-Bodegas Yuntero Cooperative held its Ordinary General Assembly on Sunday, February 28. The Governing Council formulated the annual accounts of the 2014/2015 campaign, with a turnover of 37 million euros and a net profit of 463,000 euros, after making the payments to the cooperative members of the different varieties of grapes, at prices higher than the market.

The accounts were put to a vote and approved unanimously by the attendees, after a broad presentation of them with projections of the evolution of the Cooperative in recent years.

During the Assembly, the cooperative members were informed of the management carried out during this campaign; economic/financial, commercial and social management; The kilos of grapes received during the 2015 harvest stood out, amounting to 99.4 million kilos, achieving a new production record in the 62-year history of the Cooperative. Likewise, the members of the different departments of the Cooperative, Warehouse, Bottler and Department of Agricultural Products and Services were widely reported.

Launch of new wines
The presentation of the new wines from Bodegas Yuntero that will go on the market in the coming weeks was brought forward to the cooperative members: a low-alcohol sparkling wine, under the POETICA brand, and a new white wine of the Viognier variety under the EPILOGO brand.

Investment Plan 2016
The partners unanimously approved the 2016 Investment Plan, presented by the Governing Council, which amounts to 5 million euros. The Cooperative has made investments in the last five years worth 20 million euros.

The investments planned for this year will be aimed at increasing storage capacity, with stainless steel tanks with a cold installation to ferment and preserve at controlled temperatures, with a total capacity of 8.2 MM/litres; various machinery and facilities; improvements to the bottling plant and production line; expansion of the treatment plant to comply with the regulations on discharges; office expansion; new laboratory; tasting room and technical offices.
