A new white grape jar, four new unloaders and a new weighing scale have been operational since the beginning of the current grape harvesting campaign.
In 2014, the Jesús del Perdón-Bodegas Yuntero Cooperative made an investment of six million euros to expand its facilities. The works, which began last spring, aim to improve all the winery's production processes and increase its storage capacity.
Among the new equipment in the winery are:
– a new white grape jaraíz, equipped with self-emptying and settling tanks, as well as pneumatic presses with the incorporation of inert gas.
– four new unloaders, with their corresponding destemmers, roller grinders and pumps, cameras and controls that allow the separation of the grapes according to their qualities.
– a new weighing scale and automatic trailer cleaning system after unloading.
All of this has already been completed and has been operational since the beginning of this harvest.
Storage tanks
The expansion works also include the manufacturing and installation of new storage tanks that will increase the current storage capacity of the winery by 20 million liters.
The new stainless steel tanks have jackets and cooling coils to achieve the best fermentation and conservation status of the wine. Currently, its manufacturing and installation is developing at a good pace and, once completed, it will provide the winery with a total storage capacity of 82 million liters.
