This was reflected in the celebration of its Ordinary General Assembly, where the accounts for the 2022/2023 campaign were unanimously approved. The session served to highlight the significant growth of the Cooperative in recent years, with a net worth of more than 43.8 million euros. The 2024 investment project was also approved, with a budget of 2.9 million euros.
Jesús del Perdón-Bodegas Yuntero S.C.CLM held its Ordinary General Assembly on February 25, in which different topics were discussed, among which the approval of the annual accounts for the 2022/2023 financial year and the 2024 investment plan stood out.
The assembly began with the intervention of the president, Felipe Rodríguez, who thanked all the members for their support, which already exceeds a thousand. He highlighted, how despite the decrease in the harvest in CLM in this 2023 harvest, the commitment and trust placed by the members in this cooperative meant that they barely had a 2% decrease in the winery, reaching 140,000,000 kilos. from grape. In addition, the president reported on different strategic projects that are being evaluated and studied within the cooperative's expansion plan.
Regarding the annual accounts for the 2022/2023 financial year, the turnover exceeded the 67.4 million euros which, once the settlements of the products delivered by the partners were carried out, produced a net profit of 662,000 euros.
Regarding the balance, the significant growth of the Cooperative in recent years and its current economic and financial strength were highlighted, with a net worth greater than the 43.8 million euros.
Likewise, the investment project presented for the current fiscal year 2024 was unanimously approved, with a budget of 2.9 million euros, which will be applied in different modernization and renovation actions of the facilities. Improvements in cold equipment for better fermentation of the musts, renewal of winery and unloading equipment, as well as expansion of the photovoltaic panels to optimize resources, they constitute the main items of these investments. Without forgetting important technological and functional improvements in your treatment plant, in which Bodegas Yuntero has an accumulated investment of more than 3 million euros. Most of these investments will be financed with own funds.
As is usual in the Assembly, the Manager, Pedro Ramírez, gave an account to the members of the management of the Cooperative in three clearly differentiated sections: Commercial management, economic-financial management and social management.
Thus, the development of the last harvest, the evolution and situation of the markets, both of the main activity of the winery, which is wine, and the development of other activities of the Department of Agricultural Products and Services, in addition to the situation economic-financial.
With concern in innovation and R&D projects, the Cooperative has recently presented the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) a new project called 'ENRICHED HYDROCHARS AS A REGENERATIVE SOURCE OF SOIL IN VINEYARD CROPS'. Likewise, as reported by the manager, work continues on the implementation of new projects that will be presented soon.
Finally, the General Assembly also welcomed the renewal of the Intervention Commission, at the end of its mandate, its members being unanimously re-elected: Francisco García-Cervigón Mateos-Aparicio, Juani Nieto Gallego and Inés Mur Checa.
Good figures, which also translate into prizes
Not only the numbers support the trajectory and work of Bodegas Yuntero, but also the recognitions. And this month the Cooperative has received gold medal to its organic wine Mundo de Yuntero Blanco 2023, in the 34ª Clash of the world of wine held in Germany, from February 20-25.
This award, the first in 2024, confirms the clear commitment to Organic Agriculture that Bodegas Yuntero has had as one of its main strategies and work philosophy, since 1992, when it was a pioneer in Castilla La Mancha, betting on this sustainable production.
