Bodegas Yuntero presents its wines to an American delegation

Una delegación de importadores y distribuidores estadounidenses se ha desplazado esta semana hasta Castilla-La Mancha para conocer, de primera mano, los vinos producidos por diversas bodegas manchegas, entre ellas Bodegas Yuntero.

La “Misión Comercial Inversa EEUU 2014”, promovida por la Fundación Castilla La Mancha-Tierra de Viñedos, tiene como finalidad asegurar la presencia de los vinos manchegos en el mercado estadounidense. Durante cuatro días, del 27 al 30 de enero de 2014, la delegación norteamericana ha visitado diversas bodegas de la zona y degustado los distintos productos en una jornada de catas, organizada ex profeso.

Bodegas Yuntero, que en 2014 cumple 60 años de existencia, ha participado en esta jornada de catas con los siguientes vinos: los blancos de la añada 2013, Yuntero Macabeo, Epílogo Blanco y el ecológico Mundo de Yuntero Blanco; los tintos, Yuntero Tinto 2013, Yuntero Crianza 2010, Yuntero Reserva 2007, Epílogo Roble 2012 y el ecológico Mundo de Yuntero Tinto 2013; y finalmente, el vino Yuntero Rosado 2013.

Durante el pasado año (2013), los vinos de Bodegas Yuntero recibieron más de una decena de premios nacionales e internacionales, y el reconocimiento del crítico estadounidense Robert Parker quién otorgó una altísima puntuación a tres de sus vinos (Epílogo Blanco 2012, Epílogo Roble 2011 y el ecológico Mundo Tempranillo 2012, con 90, 89 y 90 puntos Parker, respectivamente).

Wine consumption in the US
Durante los últimos 10 años el consumo de vino en Estados Unidos ha aumentado de forma constante a un ritmo aproximado del 3% anual, exceptuando los años 2008 y 2009 que creció en torno al 1%, según informa la Fundación Tierra de Viñedos. En 2011 fue, además, el primer país del mundo consumidor de vino de calidad, con 3.700 millones de botellas, como recoge un estudio de la International Wine and Spirits Research.

En la actualidad, Bodegas Yuntero comercializa sus productos en cerca de una veintena de países, entre ellos Estados Unidos. Concretamente, uno de los objetivos de exportación de esta bodega para 2014 es afianzar, consolidar e incrementar las ventas en este país.

La Cooperativa Jesús del Perdón-Bodegas Yuntero está conformada por 700 socios viticultores, con una extensión total de viñedos de 6.000 Hectáreas. La Bodega produce, tanto en su versión convencional como ecológica, vinos Blancos, con las variedades de uva Airén, Macabeo, Sauvignon Blanc y Chardonnay; y vinos Tintos con las variedades Cencibel, Cabernet, Merlot y Syrah.

Bodegas Yuntero thus offers a wide range of bottled wines: Young, Crianza, Reserve and Organic under four Denominations (D.O. La Mancha Wines, Tierra de Castilla Wines, Organic Wines, Table Wines). The currently registered brands form a wide range prepared for the different markets: Yuntero, Lazarillo, Casa de la Teja, Cesta de Frutas, Viña Altair, Mundo de Yuntero, Cultus, Ídolo and Epilogue.

At Bodegas Yuntero we consider essential the development of a Quality, Environmental and Food Safety Management System, based on the Standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and in the BRC and IFS Food Safety Protocols, in order to certify the safe production of our wines, complying with the legal and regulatory requirements that are applicable in our wine production, aging, bottling and marketing activities, and with those established by the client, and other requirements that the organization subscribes, related to its environmental aspects and occupational health and safety hazards.

The Winery supports all staff in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the system, considering each worker as the protagonist of the most important phase of the service of a company of recognized Quality, also promoting responsibility towards the environment.
