The visit, which took place last week, is part of the Reverse Missions organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ciudad Real, and which are sponsored by the Provincial Council.
From September 9 to 11, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ciudad Real organized a new Reverse Mission with US importers, with the aim of promoting contacts and commercial agreements with companies from Ciudad Real.
Bodegas Yuntero presented its products to the US delegation through a tasting session held at the Parador de Almagro on Tuesday, September 9. The group of importers also visited the winery's facilities, located in Manzanares (Ciudad Real), on Thursday the 11th.
Bodegas Yuntero facilities
In 2014, Bodegas Yuntero has made a significant investment in its facilities (6 million euros) to provide them with a new white grape jaraíz, four new unloading facilities, and to expand its storage capacity -to reach a total of 82 million liters of wine -, among other equipment.
The works, which began last spring, are at a very advanced stage of execution. The new white grape jaraíz, the four new unloaders and a new weighing scale are already finished and operational. The construction of the new storage tanks continues apace, which will increase the current capacity of the winery by 20 million liters.
Commercial actions with the US
Bodegas Yuntero allocates 86% of its production to export, the United States being one of the twenty countries in which it is already marketing its products. The winery, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary, made a commercial tour of various US cities last February, obtaining great acceptance among US companies in the wine sector. In June, it also participated in a Reverse Mission with buyers from this country, also organized by the Chamber of Commerce.
