The companies Iberia and British Airways have chosen Bodegas Yuntero to supply the white wines that will be served on their flights starting January 1, 2015. British Airways opted for white wine from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety, and Iberia for the blend of Verdejo and Macabeo, made by Bodegas Yuntero. Both broths will be served bottled in 187 milliliter bottles.
This is a great commercial achievement for the Jesús del Perdón-Bodegas Yuntero Cooperative, which has just celebrated 60 years of existence, given that its wines were chosen, by both companies, from more than 300 samples from up to twelve different countries.
Bodegas Yuntero, pioneer in La Mancha in the production of organic wine
In 1994, Bodegas Yuntero was a pioneer in Castilla-La Mancha in the production and marketing of wine from organic vineyards, a production that has increased year after year, until it has become the most important winery in Spain in this denomination, with up to 15 million kilos of organic grapes collected during the last harvest of 2014.
Currently, Bodegas Yuntero is in full international expansion, exporting 86% of its production to nearly twenty countries, and has its own commercial teams in Europe, Asia and America.
