Last Sunday, February 24, the General Assembly of the Jesús del Perdón Cooperative – Bodegas Yuntero was held, with a massive presence of Members and where the new President Mr. Felipe Rodríguez Callejas was elected, with a large majority of votes compared to the previous President Mr. Felix Cano Diaz.
In the aforementioned Assembly, the accounts for the 2017/2018 financial year were unanimously approved, with a historical turnover of more than 61 MM/Euros, with net results of more than 400,000 Euros, and a Net Asset value of more than 25 MM/Euros , where the significant growth of the Cooperative in recent years and its current economic and financial strength were revealed.
In the Management report, Manager Mr. Ramón Alcarazo reported in detail on the management of the Cooperative since the last General Assembly, indicating the kilos of grapes received in the last harvest that amounted to 146,000,000 kilos, consolidating itself as the 2nd Cooperative largest wine base in Spain.
Regarding the marketing of wines, as it is a campaign with a lot of national and international production, prices have been reduced compared to the previous campaign, indicating that, to date, sales amount to 82%, with normal development. , great diversification and an implementation in more than 20 countries around the world. Regarding future plans, this Cooperative will continue to focus on the quality of raw materials, properly separating the different qualities and remunerating them based on the different parameters, which will be increasingly strict.
Other projects that this Cooperative has been working on are the creation of an almond production section and an oil mill. Because the production of its members in these two crops is increasing considerably, the Cooperative has to create its structures, although these investments will be made in phases and will be related according to the activity in the coming years.
Investment plan 2019
Another important point that was discussed in the aforementioned Assembly was the Investment Plan for 2019, with a significant budget of more than 10,000,000 Euros and which was approved unanimously by those attending.
The investments that will be made will be the construction of a new 4,500 m2 Bottling Plant, with an air-conditioned warehouse to store more than 2,000,000 bottles and the implementation of two bottling lines and one bag in box, as well as the opening of a new store for the sale, tasting and exhibition of the wide range of wines that are currently made with the Yuntero and Epilogo brands, among others.
Another important investment will be the expansion of containers to ferment and store wines, with a total capacity of: 17,400,000 liters, all in stainless steel of different capacities, as well as various machines and facilities to improve processes and quality of their production.
Investment will continue in the Treatment Plant to improve its automation, as well as the expansion of warehouses in the Department of Agricultural Products and Services.
With these important investments, the Cooperative will continue its strategy that will be focused on 3 axes: Growth, Quality and Marketing.
Renewal of the Governing Council
The Assembly ended with the partial renewal of the Governing Council, with the following Members being elected with a large majority of votes:

The new President, Mr. Felipe Rodríguez, showed the Assembly his gratitude for the great support obtained, expressing his commitment, honesty, closeness and work to continue consolidating the Cooperative and the defense of the products of all the Members.
He also expressed his gratitude to all the previous members of the different Governing Councils; to all the executives and workers, for their maximum effort on a daily basis, as well as to all the Members, from more than 10 towns who, with their contributions of products, have managed to bring the Cooperative to its current situation.
Finally, he recognized the Assembly for the work and commitment of the previous President, Mr. Félix Cano Díaz.
