The wine sector has undergone a profound transformation in recent years. International competitiveness, the need to generate value and the evolution of markets required new industrial strategies.
In this context, Bodegas Yuntero took a strategic step in 2024 with the acquisition of the production unit of Mostos Españoles S.A. in Tomelloso, a historic facility dedicated to the production of concentrated must from grapes in Castilla-La Mancha.
This operation was not just an industrial expansion.
It was a strategic decision aimed at:
+ strengthen the transformation capacity of the grape
+ diversify the cooperative's activity
+ strengthen presence in international markets
+ generate new opportunities for member winegrowers
Tomelloso is located in the heart of the largest vineyard in the world and is one of the main European centers for the production of grape must. Integrating this facility into the Yuntero Bodegas project allowed us to consolidate a model that connects agriculture, industry and global market.
The must is today a key product within the wine and food sector since it is used as a natural ingredient in the beverage and food industry, managing to increase the presence of Yuntero Mostos in international markets.
With this addition, Yuntero reinforced its industrial positioning and its ability to offer solutions to international clients, always maintaining its main mission, generate value for the winegrowers who are part of the cooperative project.
From Yuntero Bodegas We will go deeper into the Yuntero Mostos project, its role within the sector and the opportunities it generates for the vineyards of Castilla-La Mancha.
We continue moving forward.
