Epilogue Oak, silver at the Brussels World Competition

The Epílogo Roble 2012 wine from Bodegas Yuntero has been awarded the silver medal in the 22nd edition of the Brussels World Competition which, on this occasion, was held in the town of Jesolo (Italy). For three days, from May 1 to 3, nearly 300 international expert tasters evaluated more than 8,000 wines from 50 countries, announcing the award-winning wines on May 8.

Created in 1994, the Brussels World Competition is considered one of the most relevant events in the wine sector due to the professionalism and rigor of its jury, as well as the great diversity of nationalities represented in the tasting.

Epilogue Oak, double silver
During 2015, the Epílogo Roble red wine, from the 2012 vintage, has won two silver medals: the one recently awarded at the Brussels World Competition and the one obtained, last April, at the Berliner Wein Trophy competition in Germany.

With the La Mancha Designation of Origin, it is produced with the Tempranillo (65%) and Merlot (35%) grape varieties. Both wines are made independently, undergoing light aging separately in mixed oak barrels (American and French). After five months, the final blend is made.

It is an intense color, purplish cherry red with a maroon rim. On the nose, the aromas of red forest fruits, violets and fruit compote (currant, blackberry, cherry) intermingle, in addition to the aromas provided by barrel aging such as notes of coconut, vanilla, roasted and smoked. It is very tasty in the mouth, persistent and with a long finish.

In the last ten years, Bodegas Yuntero has accumulated more than a hundred awards in different national and international competitions, thus endorsing the quality of its wines and the excellence in their production.

During the recently held National Wine Fair (FENAVIN), Bodegas Yuntero has received a distinction in the III edition of the Airén Awards for the World for the Señorío de la Granja wine that it makes with the organic Airén grape variety. Furthermore, so far this year alone (2015), Bodegas Yuntero wines have received ten medals in highly prestigious competitions in the wine sector:
