On October 22, we completed the 2024 harvest with a highly satisfactory balance, reaching a production of 179.5 million kilos of grapes, 28% more than last year. This long harvest, which lasted more than 70 days, reflects our commitment to quality and variety diversification.
This harvest has included 138 million kilos of white grapes and 41.5 million red grapes, consolidating the recovery in production at the regional level after a limited last season, although it has not been an excessively high harvest in terms of production at the regional level. We thus reaffirm our position as a benchmark in the sector, consolidating ourselves as the second largest first-grade cooperative in Spain.
Bet on the diversification of varietal grapes
We continue to focus on the variety of grapes to satisfy the demands of international markets, adapting to the profiles of each client and consumer. Although native grapes, such as Airén in whites and Cencibel or Tempranillo in reds, continue to be predominant, 30% of production corresponds to widely accepted international varieties. White varieties include Macabeo, Verdejo, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Moscatel and Viognier; while in red wines, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Garnacha and Petit Verdot stand out. This diversification gives us a commercial and marketing advantage.
Furthermore, we have maintained our leadership in organic wines, in the different varieties, a pioneering commitment in Castilla-La Mancha since 1992, which represents 10% of our current production and has a consolidated market base.
Next arrival of the 2024 vintage to the market
Starting in the next three weeks, the new 2024 vintage of the young white wines Epílogo, Yuntero and Mundo de Yuntero will be available, with a forecast of excellent quality. The first tastings have shown an optimal balance both in terms of health and organoleptic qualities, a result of the care and professionalism of our technical and oenological team.
Expansion and economic growth: record turnover in 2024
We closed the year with a historical turnover of more than 75 million euros, driven by the increase in sales in international markets. With a net worth of more than 47 million euros, we are in a solid position that will allow us to continue technological and process improvements, as well as continue obtaining good results in settlements to partners.
New challenges and expansion in the must sector
As part of our growth strategy, Yuntero has acquired the Mostos de Tomelloso production unit, now known as Yuntero Mostos. This new plant produces concentrate, rectified concentrate and NFC in conventional, organic and baby food versions, reaching a daily production capacity of 400,000 liters.
