Bodegas Yuntero's epilogue gets its fourth medal

El vino Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2016 de Bodegas Yuntero ha sido galardonado con la medalla de bronce en el concurso International Wine Spirit Competition, certamen fundado en 1969, por lo se considera una de las competiciones vinícolas más antiguas del mundo, cuyos premios de la 48ª edición se han hecho públicos durante la Feria Internacional de Vino de Londres (Reino Unido), celebrada entre el 21 y el 23 de mayo.

Con esta nueva medalla, el vino Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2016 de Bodegas Yuntero acumula cuatro medallas en distintos concursos nacionales e internacionales; y en total, los vinos de Bodegas Yuntero han conseguido hasta catorce premios desde que se iniciara la presente campaña 2016-2017:

  • International Wine Spirit Competition, medalla de bronce para el vino Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2016.
  • EcoRacimo, dos medallas de plata para los vinos ecológicos Mundo de Yuntero blanco y tinto, de la añada 2016.
  • Premios Bacchus, medalla de plata para el vino Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2016 que concede la Unión Española de Catadores.
  • Berliner Wein Trophy, dos medallas de oro para los vinos Yuntero Crianza 2013 y el ecológico Mundo de Yuntero Blanco 2016, concedidas en la 21ª edición del prestigioso concurso alemán.
  • Catavinum, seis medallas de plata para los blancos Lazarillo Verdejo 2016, Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2016, Mundo de Yuntero Blanco 2016 y Epílogo Viognier 2015; y los tintos Epílogo Roble 2014 y Yuntero Reserva 2010.
  • Premios DO La Mancha a la “Calidad de los Vinos Embotellados y Varietales”, medalla de plata para el vino Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2016.
  • Word Bulk Wine Exhibition, Gran Medalla de Oro para el vino Sauvignon Blanc de la añada 2016. Es la única competición en el mundo dedicada a los vinos a granel.

International Wine Spirit Competition (IWSC 2017)
El concurso IWSC 2017, que acaba de premiar con una medalla de bronce a Bodegas Yuntero, es uno de los más antiguos que se celebran en el mundo. Fue fundado en 1969 por el enólogo químico Anton Massel, bajo el nombre inicial de “Club Oenologique”. Este certamen se caracteriza por evaluar los análisis químicos de los vinos, además de los clásicos factores como el sabor, aroma, color y textura, entre otros.

El concurso se divide en dos etapas, a lo largo de siete meses, una primera cata a ciegas realizada por un jurado de cuatrocientos expertos catadores de hasta 30 países distintos, y una segunda etapa donde los vinos son sometidos a un análisis químico y microbiológico por un laboratorio independiente. Este proceso de selección otorga a los vinos premiados por el IWSC un distintivo de calidad y excelencia muy valorados en el sector, así como por el consumidor final.

Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2016
El vino blanco de Bodegas Yuntero Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2016 cuenta con Denominación de Origen La Mancha. Está elaborado con la variedad de uva Sauvignon Blanc y Moscatel (90% y 10%, respectivamente).

Es un vino de gran intensidad aromática, encontrándose muy bien integrados los aromas florales y exóticos de la variedad Sauvignon Blanc (pomelo, mango, maracuyá) con los tonos amoscatelados de la variedad moscatel. En boca resulta un vino muy fresco y con buen volumen. El conjunto de las dos variedades de uva le aportan una sensación amielada, suave y sedosa.
