Bodegas Yuntero debuts a new installation, for the exhibition of its wide range of bottled wines, in the ninth edition of the National Wine Fair (FENAVIN 2017). The new stand of Bodegas Yuntero, 48 square meters, has a renewed and creative design, with open spaces and large tasting areas, as well as reserved areas for meetings with clients.
The Jesús del Perdón-Bodegas Yuntero Cooperative has remained faithful to all editions of FENAVIN, an exhibition to which it has been attending since its inauguration in 2001. Ramón Alcarazo, manager of Bodegas Yuntero, explains this continued support: "it was logical that Castilla-La Mancha, the region with the largest vineyard in the world, had a large fair where we could publicize the excellent wines we produce. And hence, the large wineries in the region have opted for FENAVIN, as have customers from all over the world, who increase year after year, understanding that this is where the best quality/price ratio of wines is produced."
It is expected that 17,000 buyers from up to 84 countries will attend this new edition of the fair, which will be held from May 9 to 11 in Ciudad Real. FENAVIN will host 1,802 exhibitors, almost 33% more than in the previous edition, distributed in 8 pavilions with a total area of 31,271 square meters. Data that confirm the consolidation of FENAVIN as the first and most important monographic wine fair in Spain.
Bodegas Yuntero, quality and internationalization
The FENAVIN organization estimates that up to 300,000 commercial contacts will take place during the three days of the exhibition. The quality of the product, the volume of production, the rigorous control in the winemaking processes, and a wide network of clients developed over the last thirty years are the keys that the manager of Bodegas Yuntero, Ramón Alcarazo, uses to stand out among so much and such high competition.
“In an increasingly globalized market, with narrow margins, we must achieve an adequate production volume to obtain the best results,” argues Alcarazo. In this sense, during the last fifteen years, Bodegas Yuntero has increased its production volume dramatically, reaching 111 million kilos of grapes in the last campaign (2016). “Since the volume is important, we put quality first in all processes. From the raw material, with rigorous controls on the field that allow us to achieve the optimal degree of maturation of the different varieties, to the permanent investment in machines and facilities to achieve careful control of the wine fermentations,” adds the manager of Bodegas Yuntero.
The main axis of Bodegas Yuntero's commercial strategy is internationalization: "we have been marketing our wines abroad for more than thirty years. Currently, We export 86% of our production to twenty countries around the world“says Ramón Alcarazo; and adds that “the great challenge for the wine sector is increasing national consumption. "We must ensure that new generations understand that wine is a food, that its moderate consumption is part of our culture and the Mediterranean diet."
Wide variety of Bodegas Yuntero wines
During FENAVIN, the Jesús del Perdón-Bodegas Yuntero Cooperative will present its wide variety of wines: those of the brand Epílogo and Yuntero that have the La Mancha Designation of Origin; the Lazarillo (Wines from the Land of Castilla); and organic wines, Mundo de Yuntero. It is worth remembering that Bodegas Yuntero was a pioneer in 1992, in Castilla-La Mancha, in the production and marketing of wines from organic farming.
Two of the wines that can also be tasted at FENAVIN, and that Bodegas Yuntero launched in 2016, are the white Epílogo made with the Viognier variety, a grape of French origin that is very rare on the market; and low alcohol carbonated wine (7%) Poética, a blend of Verdejo (90%) and Moscatel (10%).
The quality of Bodegas Yuntero's wines is supported by the various awards won in national and international competitions. In this last campaign, the following stand out: the two gold medals of the Berlin Wine Trophy (Germany) for the Yuntero Crianza 2013 wines and the organic Mundo de Yuntero Blanco 2016; or the three silver medals for the Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2016 wine, obtained in the competitions Bacchus, Catavinum and in the Quality Awards for Bottled and Varietal Wines of the DO La Mancha.
