Epílogo Blanco 2014, bronze at Challenge International du Vin

So far this year, the Epílogo Blanco 2014 wine from Bodegas Yuntero has received four medals in different international and national competitions. Three of them are gold: Berliner Wein Trophy (Germany), Vinalies Internationales de Paris (France), and the Bacchus awards (Spain); and finally the fourth, the recently acquired bronze medal at the Challenge International du Vin de Bourg (France).

The Epílogo white wine 2014, with La Mancha Designation of Origin, is made with the Sauvignon Blanc (90%) and Moscatel (10%) grape variety. It is of great aromatic intensity, with the floral and exotic aromas of the Sauvignon Blanc variety (grapefruit, mango, passion fruit) being very well integrated with the muscatel tones of the muscatel variety. In the mouth it is a very fresh wine with good volume. The combination of the two grape varieties gives it a honeyed, soft and silky sensation.

Yuntero Crianza 2010, silver in Challenge International du Vin

The Yuntero Crianza red wine, from the 2010 vintage, has won the silver medal at the Challenge International du Vin de Bourg. With La Mancha designation of origin, it is made with Tempranillo (85%) and Syrah (15%) grape varieties. Before going on the market, it is aged for six months in American oak barrels and another twelve in the bottle. Cherry red in color with slight aged reflections, the nose is complex, mixing the aromas of the grape variety with those of the oak. In the mouth it is harmonious and tasty, with a full, dry and balanced attack.
