Yuntero wins two medals at Challenge International du Vin

Bodegas Yuntero ha recibido una medalla de plata y otra de bronce en la 39ª edición del concurso Challenge International du Vin, que tuvo lugar en la localidad de Bourg (Francia), durante el 10 y 11 de abril, y cuyos resultados se dieron a conocer el pasado viernes 17 de abril. Los vinos de Bodegas Yuntero galardonados son: el tinto Yuntero Crianza 2010, con la medalla de plata y el blanco Epílogo 2014, con la de bronce.

En esta 39ª edición han participado un total de 4.220 vinos, entre ellos 2.733 tintos y 804 blancos, procedentes de 34 países. Sólo un 33% de los caldos que entraron a concurso recibieron una medalla. El jurado estuvo compuesto por 736 expertos catadores del sector vinícola, de hasta 24 nacionalidades distintas.

El Challenge International du Vin está organizado por la asociación Concours Des Vins (CDV) y se celebra desde 1971, siendo uno de los certámenes vitivinícolas más antiguos del país vecino. Cuenta con la certificación ISO 9001, garantizando la profesionalidad y la calidad de la organización.

Epílogo Blanco 2014, bronce en Challenge International du Vin

En lo que va de año el vino Epílogo Blanco 2014 de Bodegas Yuntero ha recibido cuatro medallas en distintos certámenes internacionales y nacionales. Tres de ellas son de oro: Berliner Wein Trophy (Alemania), Vinalies Internationales de París (Francia), y los premios Bacchus (España); y finalmente la cuarta, la recién adquirida medalla de bronce en el Challenge International du Vin de Bourg (Francia).

El vino Epílogo blanco 2014, con Denominación de Origen La Mancha, está elaborado con la variedad de uva Sauvignon Blanc (90%) y Moscatel (10%). Es de gran intensidad aromática, encontrándose muy bien integrados los aromas florales y exóticos de la variedad sauvignon blanc (pomelo, mango, maracuyá) con los tonos amoscatelados de la variedad moscatel. En boca resulta un vino muy fresco y con buen volumen. El conjunto de las dos variedades de uva le aportan una sensación amielada, suave y sedosa.

Yuntero Crianza 2010, plata en Challenge International du Vin

El vino tinto Yuntero Crianza, de la añada 2010, ha obtenido la medalla de plata en el Challenge International du Vin de Bourg. Con denominación de origen La Mancha, está elaborado con las variedades de uva Tempranillo (85%) y Syrah (15%). Antes de salir al mercado, es envejecido durante seis meses en barrica de roble americano y otros doce en botella. De color rojo cereza con leves reflejos atejados, en nariz resulta complejo, mezclándose los aromas de la variedad de uva con aquellos del roble. En boca es armónico y sabroso, con ataque pleno, seco y equilibrado.
