Bodegas Yuntero awarded with a Silver Award

The Spanish Union of Tasters has awarded, in the twenty-eighth edition of the National Young Wine Competition, a Silver Bacchus to the White Epilogue of Bodegas Yuntero.

Annually the Spanish Union of Tasters (UEC) convenes the Baco Awards where the best young national wines are awarded in a tasting-competition officially recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment. In this new edition, held on May 29, a total of 382 wines were presented, all of them from the 2013 vintage, coming from up to 51 indications of the Spanish wine-growing geography, 45 of them being Denominations of Origin.

The jury, made up of 45 expert tasters from the UEC, awarded 76 of these wines. The Epílogo Blanco 2013 from Bodegas Yuntero received a Silver Bacchus. Last February this wine also won a gold medal in the 2014 Berliner Wein Trophy international competition.

So far this year, Bodegas Yuntero has seen its continuous effort for the quality of its products rewarded through other important national and international awards. Among them, it is worth highlighting the gold medal awarded to the Tinto Selección Reserva 2008 at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2014 - a wine that also received a silver medal at the 2014 UEC Bacchus Awards -; and another gold medal for the ecological Mundo de Yuntero Blanco awarded at the Berliner Wein Trophy 2014.

With the La Mancha Designation of Origin, it is made up of the Sauvignon Blanc and Moscatel grape varieties with small grains. Each of them is worked separately to later make the final blend.

It is of great aromatic intensity, combining the floral and exotic aromas of the Sauvignon Blanc variety (grapefruit, mango, passion fruit) and the muscatel tones of the Moscatel variety. In the mouth, it is a very fresh wine with good volume, offering a honeyed, soft and silky sensation.
