Last Sunday, August 23, in a massive General Assembly of Members, the Jesús del Perdón-Bodegas Yuntero Cooperative held the traditional Harvest Assembly, where the Campaign Rules were unanimously approved, where a harvest similar to the last campaign is expected, although there is a harvest reduction of around 25%, motivated by the high temperatures suffered this summer. The incorporation of 60 new Partners will compensate for these losses and it is expected to produce around one hundred million kilos of grapes.
In these Standards, the quality criteria that will be determined at the entrance of each vehicle into the warehouse were approved, in order to be able to select the different qualities according to their analytical parameters. The analyzes that will be carried out will be: Baumé Degree, pH, Total Acidity, Potassium and Gluconic.
Bodegas Yuntero produces a wide range of varieties of white grapes: Airén, Macabeo, Verdejo, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscatel de Gran Menudo; In this campaign they incorporate 2 new varieties: Parellada and Viognier. Regarding red grapes: Tempranillo, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Malvec.
Like conventional grapes, the Jesús del Perdón-Bodegas Yuntero Cooperative was a pioneer in Castilla La Mancha in producing organic grapes, also of different varieties.
The quality of the grapes after the various samplings carried out in the field by winery technicians is considered very good, currently being in perfect health condition and slow and excellent maturation.
