Bodegas Yuntero, gold and silver medal in Bordeaux

Bodegas Yuntero ha ganado dos medallas en la cuadragésimo tercera edición del concurso Challenge International du Vin, que ha tenido lugar el 12 y 13 de abril en Burdeos (Francia), y cuyos resultados se han dado a conocer la pasada semana.

El tinto Yuntero Reserva 2013 ha recibido una medalla de ORO, siendo la única medalla de oro otorgada a un reserva con Denominación de Origen La Mancha (DO La Mancha). Bodegas Yuntero también ha recibido una medalla de plata por su vino blanco Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc de la añada 2018.

El Challenge International du Vin es el certamen vitivinícola más antiguo del país vecino. Organizado por la asociación Concours Des Vins (CDV), cuenta con la certificación ISO 9001, garantizando la profesionalidad y la calidad del concurso.

En esta 43ª edición han participado 4.000 vinos –procedentes de treinta y ocho países–, evaluados por un jurado de 800 catadores profesionales internacionales. Solo siete vinos DO La Mancha han sido premiados por el jurado, entre ellos los elaborados por Bodegas Yuntero: Yuntero Reserva 2013 (oro) y Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2018 (plata).

Distinguido con la medalla de oro en Challenge International du Vin 2019, Yuntero Reserva 2013 es un vino monovarietal, elaborado al 100% con uva Cencibel, seleccionada de los viñedos en vaso más antiguos de la Bodegas Yuntero.

Ha sido envejecido en barricas de roble mixto, americano y francés durante al menos doce meses. Lo que le aporta una gran estructura y complejidad aromática con notas a frutas maduras, vainilla y ahumados. De gran persistencia en boca, es un vino redondo, suave y elegante, con taninos muy dulces.

Epilogue Sauvignon Blanc 2018, silver medal
Este vino blanco joven de Bodegas Yuntero, de la añada 2018, está elaborado al 100% con la variedad Sauvignon Blanc. Las uvas son recolectadas en vendimia nocturna para conservar su frescura, el mosto se extrae por sin ningún tipo de prensado, por sangrado directo y se fermenta a temperaturas muy bajas, para extraer una mayor expresividad aromática. Brillante y de color amarillo pálido verdoso, es de gran intensidad y complejidad aromática. Se encuentran muy bien integrados los aromas florales y exóticos de la variedad sauvignon blanc (pomelo, mango, maracuyá). En boca, es muy fresco y con buen volumen, suave, delicado y con un paso en boca largo y persistente.
