Epilogue Chardonnay, a novelty from Bodegas Yuntero

The white wine Epílogo Chardonnay, from the 2018 vintage, will be the novelty at the Bodegas Yuntero stand during the 59th edition of the National Wine Fair (FERCAM 2019), which will be held from July 3 to 7 in Manzanares (Ciudad Real). ). It is a new white wine, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, which has been lightly aged in mixed French and American oak barrels to obtain a perfect balance between fruit and wood.

The new Epílogo Chardonnay, which was launched on the market in May of this year, coinciding with the celebration of the FENAVIN exhibition, has the Designation of Origin La Mancha and is made with grapes, harvested at night, from the best vineyards of the variety Chardonnay that the La Mancha cooperative has in the Sierra de Siles (Ciudad Real), an area of ​​great geological interest and abundant springs.

Another novelty that Bodegas Yuntero presents at FERCAM is the Epilogo Sauvignon Blanc wine. For the first time since its creation, this wine has been conceived for the current 2018 vintage as a monovarietal, made exclusively with the Sauvignon Blanc grape (in previous campaigns it was presented as a coupage with Muscatel), in order to highlight all the nuances aromas and flavors of the Sauvignon, also harvested at night.

Permanent commitment to quality and commercial expansion
With 146 million kilos of grapes received in the last campaign, Bodegas Yuntero has once again established itself as the second largest wine cooperative in Spain, reaching a historic turnover of more than 61 million euros in the 2017-2018 financial year, since it was founded in 1954.

This continuous growth is a direct consequence of the different investment plans of the cooperative, which are aimed at improving the facilities and machinery of the winery, expanding the national and international commercial network, and maintaining high and demanding quality levels in all its products.

In 2019, Bodegas Yuntero is executing an investment plan of more than 10 million euros for the construction and acquisition, among others, of:

  • a new bottling warehouse of 4,500 square meters, which will accommodate an air-conditioned warehouse with a capacity to store two million bottles, and three bottling lines, one of them exclusively for the "bag in box" format.
  • a new store for the sale, tasting and exhibition of wines, located within the winery's facilities.
  • the expansion of stainless steel containers for the fermentation of wine storage, with a total capacity of 17.4 million liters.
  • different equipment that will improve the processes and the quality of the products.

Bodegas Yuntero, fifteen awards in 2019 and loyal to FERCAM
Bodegas Yuntero has participated in all the editions of FERCAM, since its inauguration in 1960. In this 59th edition, the visit of 100,000 people and the attendance of nearly 200 exhibitors is expected at the Manzanares fairgrounds (Ciudad Real), a locality where Bodegas Yuntero has its facilities and offices.

Given its links with the town of Manzana, Bodegas Yuntero has a permanent stand at the fairgrounds, a typical La Mancha construction, decorated with barrels and a spacious area for tasting its wines: an extensive menu of red and white, young, aged , reserves, sparkling and also organic, certified with the international seal for vegans -Bodegas Yuntero was a pioneer in 1992 in the production of organic wines in La Mancha-, wines that currently have great national and international demand, and which are distributed to around twenty of countries

The wines of Bodegas Yuntero have accumulated 15 awards so far this year in different national and international competitions, among which the Baco de Oro stands out for the Epílogo Sauvignon Blanc 2018 wine, a prize awarded by the Spanish Union of Tasters (UEC), or the gold medal for the red wine Yuntero Crianza 2016, awarded in the German Berliner Wein Trophy.
