Bodegas Yuntero in continuous growth

Bodegas Yuntero continues in its permanent commitment in two strategic axes, dimension and quality. Dimension to increase competitiveness in cost synergies and greater market positioning. In recent years, its activity has doubled, with a production in the last 2016 harvest of 111 million kilos of grapes, resulting to be the second largest base cooperative in Spain, with more than 800 partners and 9,000 hectares of own vine Moscatel and Viognier and in red: Tempranillo, Cabernet, Merlot, Garnacha, Syrah and Petit Verdot.

It was the first winery-cooperative in betting on the ecological vineyard in 1992, currently with a production of 14,000,000 kilos of a wide range of varieties that represents 12% of its activity, correlation of this growth is endorsed in its turnover in this campaign will reach 43,000,000 euros.

In a commitment to the increase in bottled wines and positioning in international markets, wines are located in more than 20 countries, with a growth in the last 40�mpaign.

Motivated by the indicated growth, the winery is making important investments in its immobilized, on the one hand to adapt the cooperative to current production and on the other improve all productive processes. Investments made in the last 5 years reach 25 million euros of investment. Specifically, in this campaign, it will exceed 6 million in stainless steel deposits, self -managed deposits, cold equipment, filtration equipment, expansion of the treatment plant, laboratory construction, microbiology room, tasting room, meeting room and reform of the current offices.

The other primordial strategic axis of the winery-cooperative is the quality, in addition to the innovation and marketing and internationalization of the company. To do this, different actions are being carried out: control of raw materials, with a technical department that ensures the monitoring of the plots, performing the field notebooks, monitoring and recommendations of subscribers, treatments and state of maturation of the different grapes, so that they reach a cellar at its optimal time, as well as the control in the entrance to the quality cellar of the quality controlling: graduation, sanitary state, sanitary state, pH. Potassa, with this it is possible to separate the grapes depending on qualities, as well as the remuneration of them depending on the quality. Fermentation control, promoting nighttime harvest to get the grape to enter the cellar with the lowest possible temperature and installation of more than 9 million refrigerators to control the temperature of all fermentations.

Quality Department, there is a quality person in charge, with a laboratory of recent construction with the highest technological and a group of five workers, graduates in chemicals and oenology to achieve a rigorous control in the quality of all wines and processes. The winery is accredited in the different quality regulations: ISO - BRC and IFS.

The result to the quality of our products is contrasted with the numerous awards that this winery receives in the different national and international competitions where it is presented. In this campaign the awards obtained have been the following:

The winery markets a wide range of bottled wines and brands adapted to each market, its main Yuntero - D.O. The stain that occurs in its versions: white, pink, young red, young and reserve, the Lazarillo brand as wine from the land of Castile, the world of yuntero of ecological crops and the epilogo brand of selected grapes and counts of varieties.

Recently there are 2 wines:

Epilogo- Viognier.- Limited production wine, motivated by the low production of this grape.
POETICA.- Low graduation wine, gasified and sweet foamy. It is made with Greenjo and Moscatel grapes and is created thinking about the young consumer who begins in the world of wines; Likewise, for the one who prefers low graduation products and his sweetness also makes it attractive to the most melosy palates.

All wines can be tasted in the ESND that during the 57 editions maintains the winery in the Fercam enclosure, which will be held during the days of July 5 to 9.

At Bodegas Yuntero we consider essential the development of a Quality, Environmental and Food Safety Management System, based on the Standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and in the BRC and IFS Food Safety Protocols, in order to certify the safe production of our wines, complying with the legal and regulatory requirements that are applicable in our wine production, aging, bottling and marketing activities, and with those established by the client, and other requirements that the organization subscribes, related to its environmental aspects and occupational health and safety hazards.

The Winery supports all staff in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the system, considering each worker as the protagonist of the most important phase of the service of a company of recognized Quality, also promoting responsibility towards the environment.
